Stebbins High School Orchestra 

The Stebbins orchestra has a tremendous history of success and musical achievement. The ensemble is composed of the top string players in the school district and performs throughout the Dayton area during the school year. This outstanding ensemble continues to grow in quality and quantity; it is currently at its largest with nearly 50 members!

Students work regularly with guest clinicians Dr. In-Hong Cha (WSU), Dr. Franklin Cox (WSU), Dr. Elizabeth Hofeldt (DPO) and Leslie Dragan (DPO), among others. The Stebbins High School Orchestra competes in the OMEA Large Group Adjudicated Event annually – where they continue to earn 'SUPERIOR' (I) ratings from adjudicators. They were honored to host the event in 2025 all while earning straight 'SUPERIOR' (I) ratings from each judge!

The Stebbins High School Orchestra performs at the annual Evening of Strings Concert with several of the area's top high school orchestras, hosts an annual String Camp for all 7-12 orchestra students in Mad River Local Schools and performs bi-annually at the adjudicated event Music in the Parks at Kings Island. Students also perform in the community for Beverly Garden's Veterans Day program, Breakfast with Santa and the MRLS Spaghetti Fest. The Stebbins High School Orchestra has also performed at National Adjudicators Invitationals and Dixie Classic Festivals in both Chattanooga, Tennessee and in Washington D.C., where the group has received overall 'SUPERIOR' ratings, as well as Kings Island, Cedar Point and Disney Springs at Walt Disney World.
