Stebbins High School Orchestra 

 The Stebbins High School Orchestra has a tremendous history of success and musical achievement. The ensemble is composed of the best string players in the school district and performs throughout the Dayton area during the school year. This outstanding ensemble continues to grow in quality and quantity; it is currently at its largest with nearly 50 members! The Stebbins High School Orchestra performs at the annual Evening of Strings Concert with several of the area's top high school orchestras, hosts an annual String Camp for all 7-12 orchestra students in Mad River Local Schools and performs bi-annually at the Nutter Center for the all-district concert. The Stebbins High School Orchestra has also performed at National Adjudicators Invitationals and Dixie Classic Festivals in both Chattanooga, Tennessee and in Washington D.C. where the group has received overall Superior ratings. The Stebbins High School Orchestra will be performing at the adjudicated event, Music in the Parks at Kings Island in May of 2020. They will also be returning to Disney World for a world-class performance in 2021. Students work regularly with guest clinicians Dr. In-Hong Cha (WSU), Dr. Franklin Cox (WSU), Dr. Elizabeth Hofeldt (DPO) and Leslie Dragan (DPO), among others. The Stebbins High School Orchestra competes in the OMEA State Orchestra Contest annually – in 2019 they received a “Superior” rating for their amazing performance.
