Stebbins High School Choir

The Stebbins High School choirs have a long tradition of excellence. Director Mrs. Christina Smith has led this department for the past 30 years. In this time, the student singers have performed across the Miami Valley, around the state of Ohio, Disney, Nashville, and New York City. The most advanced choir, Symphonic Choir, has earned the top rating at State OMEA Adjudicated Event a total of nine times under her leadership. Mrs. Smith not only teaches choirs at Stebbins, but she also teaches a History of Rock and Roll class and two theatre classes.

Every year, the choirs travel around the area to perform at different events in our elementary schools and Mad River Middle School. Students can be heard performing at OMEA Solo and Ensemble event and participating in various Honor Choirs around the state of Ohio. The choral department sponsors a talent competition called "Stebbins Idol" every fall where any singer from Stebbins can compete for bragging rights and some prize money! Many of the singers in the choirs have gone on to have successful careers in music, teaching, theatre, or other arts-related careers.
