Ms. Jessica Lytle currently serves as Walter E. Stebbins Color Guard Director. Jessica has taught many levels of Color Guard beginner, intermediate, high school and Independent level. Her specialty is flag and dance. She has spun and danced since 1993. She feels truly fortunate to teach at a handful of different high schools as time has gone on. She truly loves seeing talented kids progress through the program and grow within the sport they love while becoming accomplished young adults. understanding individual growth. I fully believe in the core values that this activity in stills in young minds. It teaches work ethic, teamwork, commitment, determination, and above all else confidence to strive for the process not perfection. Independence itself has always been the organization that believes in the actual performers versus its own name or scores and with that will always have my utmost respect. It does not stop at being a place to spin, it starts as a place to grow.”
